different boyfriend, different job...

refreshed my previous blog on marriage.... life is really unpredictable though lifestyle is pretty stagnant and systematic now. Ling Ling is pregnant~ Preggie Ling is giving birth next Month, my fave month -- September. Moreover a lil' piglet~ to fulfill my wish ley. Javien is his name, my nephew!!!

i oso wanna baby!!! but nono to marriage... one day i decided to pop the question to MAMI to her utter disgust.

"Can i please haf baby w/o getting married?? i dun wan to be married ma... i wanna stay by ur side with ur lil' grandchild... please mami"

i dun haf to elaborate on her screaming and anxiety after i finished my sentence... clasping my usual curly tail between my legs, i retreated to my room... sobbing...

12.00pm lunch break

5.20pm pack and go.

for the intervals... surf nets... but alas, the company blocks some sites... like friendster... xiaxue's blog...jokes site, youtube.... grrrr......

My abbreviated name

somehow, everyone seems to have a name in short and it sounds affectionate.
E.g. tess, short for tessa short for thesarius.
E.g. Nerf short for Nerfy short for Kenneth.

My name... Tracey. How do 1 short it? Unless everyone starts calling me Qi...

Few thoughts:

1. Trace? (like tracing paper or trace a person's wherabouts?)
2. Tray? (like the tray we carry food around?)
3. Tra? (As in "tre" or "trar"? Sounds weird rite?)
4. trash...

now, finally someone came up with a brilliant name.... "TRISH"...

Happily Married?

Suddenly everyone around me is on the topic of "MARRIAGE"...

Now that i look back. This never bothers me before... I mean, everyone noes that i am pretty independent and fun-loving and workaholic and seems like i always do not have enough time for a lot of things like mahjong, clubbing, reading, cleaning up my room and exercise...

I even do not have enough time for my beloved friends and buddies and am so apologetic of not providing a listening ear when you guys need one. Missing out a lot on your lives! Do not worry! You will still be a piece of me! My Buddies Are always My Buddies! Die-hard.

Now, back to the topic on marriage.. it is happening to my closest friends. Xuemei, Jojo, Huayi, Qilin.. and SAMANTHA!!!

Kat and I was scratching our heads and guessing when's our turn..... not in the next 5 years for her... but what about me? am i ready? mentally and financially? is he ready?

What is love all about?

Love is about liking another person and wants to be in the companionship and wanting to provide the best for him/her.

COmmunication and sense of humour? Accomodating and not particular? Give and take? Give what? Take what? What is fair and what is not? Is love fair? Fairness is love? Respect is love or Love is respect? Being not wanting to hurt and not being wanting to get hurt is love? What is love?

And what about Marriage?

Marriage is about....possession of the other person that you love? Why do 2 persons want to get married? For the culture? For the relatives? For the baby bonus? (i heard you cannot get baby bonus if the baby is illegitimate) For the flat?

I have not been able to decipher the wonders of love and how to treat the one you love and now the BIG M word is dropping onto my small brain shell.

Life has been slipping past me and I have lots of memorable recollection of my life but it never dawned me when i want to get married.....

Maybe I do want to get married and that is why I have been thinking about it....

But how do a couple stays happily married? Cooped up in their own 2 person world?

1. Pay Yourself First

Eg. you are earning $2,000 a month. Working five days per week, hence 22 work days in a month. Daily wage is about $90.90, and for an 8-hour day, your first hour wage is $11. For 22 days you have worked in a month, you should pay yourself $242.

2. Make it automatic

Learn from your creditors.

The deduction from your bank every month is automatic, within clicks away.

Go now today to the bank and apply for interbank giro between your expenses account and your savings account.

Pay yourself bi-weekly.

Let the bank do the job and ta-dah, you have an extra income everymonth now.

3. Reduce the 'Latte' factor

Every now and then, we will just reach for a glass of latte, cappucino, fruit sherbie or a pot of tea! Let say we spend $3 per glass, and we drink 1 glass per day. It is a whooping $90 on latte per month!

What if it is not latte we drink? Bottle of water, or can drinks or cigarettes or sweets have the same effect.

This Latte factor refers to the wants in our life which are usually also the factors for drying up our expenses for our needs.

4. Get a roof over your head.

Whatever investment you plan to do, the first investment should be to get a property, a house for your own living. No point buying big cars, nice watches, branded bags and no roof over you.

Me here, happily sinking into the new found love of mine, Nerta, wasting every seconds & minutes bickering with him, looking for ways & means to cut down expenses and eventually incur higher expenses than before !!!!!

Participant of the Subaru Challenge, a waste that his wrist should hurt due to extensive bowling activities couple of weeks before for the Company league. Diversion: He got into the individual Masters and his team came in 2nd!

pretty boy who is ever so in love with me, never felt so loved by a guy before... the jerks before him never really showed the love to me as much as he does. Hey, but jerks, I dun blame you. You made me appreciate him more. Thanks!
